Western Australia

Spent the last week touring the SW corner of Australia- rugged coastline, bitter cold temps (coming from asia), wineries, breweries, chocolate factories and big trees.

From beachside bungalows to beach parking lot van dwellers
Brrrrr... no surfing for us!
Rugged coastline near Margaret River

Raining sideways = winery tour
The most south-west corner of OZ
In between downpours it was gorgeous

Bye bye bali

More bali pics, despite broken camera(s) and bali bellies we managed to capture a few moments....

Fishing mackerel with a local (yoman)
Sailing/Fishing with a view of bali's biggest volcano
Mackerel feast
Ubud, (crazy) monkey forest
yikes...
Nusa Lembongan, a small island just off of bali
Seaweed farming is the main industry

Seaweed farming boats
Scooter bliss on the island... no oncoming transport heading our way
Bobs bali belly is brewing....

Bali

We have spent the past week circumnavigating Bali in the oldest jeep in the country (We were assured that it was a "good car"). Stopping for some surfing and snorkelling.

Locals in Lovina searching for crustaceans.
The low tide soccer pitch in Lovina. Only hours before the world cup final.

Medewi
When you are a physiotherapist never let a bunch of dirt bag surfers know about it. I treated this Spanish surfer at the local massage parlour before "Dr. Massage" took over.

Laos--Muang Ngoi Neua

A few pictures from the past 5 days in and around Muang Ngoi Neua, a small town of 600 people only accessed by boat.
Learning to fish the local way.
We had dinner with the family of the guest house we stayed at. Thankfully they caught lots of fish as we would have gone hungry with our meager catch.
Lao Market

One of many caves in Laos. This cave housed 600 people for 6 years during a war.
We rented mountain bikes one day and biked to a few villages around the area.
Laurie giving a local kid a chance on her bike.

Rice field trekking

Packed into a slowboat... our knees weren't smiling by the end!

Back in Luang Prabang, one last 5:30am wakeup call to monk-watch
