Moab to Fruita

Some crazy light one evening at our campsite in Moab

Norm showed up for a few days of riding and pancake eating.

Laurie's first taste of slickrock "near" Bartlet Wash

Laurie and Norm on Slickrock trail.

We stumbled upon what I would call the best trail in Utah. It's not on the maps or in the guide books. Norm on one of the many overlooks on the trail.

Laurie appears to be enjoying it!

We took in a few arches to give the legs (butts) a rest

Laurie and I moved onto Fruita for 3 nights

By chance the famous "Mike the Headless Chicken Festival" was on while we were in town. Poor Mike was lined up to be on the dinner table, but he defied odds and lived 4 years without his head. He turned into a Fruita celebrity, and so the people honour him every May.

A headless chicken as American President? Not a bad idea...
