Red Jacket Sighting

Another visit to Mt. Sproatt. This time Laurie and I checked out the NE side of the mountain.

I'm sure it will be snowing up there Laurie...

Things are starting to look better.

Yes indeed there was a Red Jacket sighting.

Diamond Head

High avi hazard and a failed attempt to poach Blackcomb landed Laurie and I at Diamond Head on Sunday afternoon. The skiing is pretty lame here but the massive trees more than make up for the 20 Degree slopes.

Finally some new snow!

What the.....!

Sproatt

In December I googled Mt. Sproatt to see if I could get a picture of the mountain to figure out the best lines. I came across a trip report of a couple of guys who ended up on the wrong mountain across from Sproatt, got cliffed out and decended in the dark. Fastforward to last Saturday and Becky and I are waiting in the Sproatt parking lot for her 28 year old, newly retired (long story), friend Joel. Turns our Joel was the guy. The snow was terrible, but it was still a good day listening to Joel's retirement plans.

Back to the wet coast

Lynn Valley on the North Shore last Sunday. It felt pretty cool to get back on the mountain bikes and get all muddy.

Mr. Leyhey, Mr. Leyhey...I think I see a Shit Hawk...

No Randy, Shit Hawks don't fly in the sun... Mt. Crowe last Saturday with Heav turned out to be pretty sweet once we got out of the clouds.

The Old boys around Rossland know how to keep it real. This cabin is only about a 5 minute ski from the car.

Maus Creek

With barely any new snow in the past 3 weeks expectations weren't too high when we headed out to Maus this Saturday. An inversion, some fast snow, and eleven friends made for a great day.

The Real Deal airing it out with Fisher in the background.

Hitchpost or Inchpost (depending on who you ask)
